What is multi-site construction management software?
Multi-site construction management software gives owners and project directors one view of all their active sites: progress, labour, material, cost and profit. The data comes from entries made on each site. It also controls material moving between sites and the store, and who can see what, so growth doesn't mean losing control.
It turns a set of separate site registers into one portfolio. A working setup lets you:
- See every site on one screen. Progress, labour and material across all sites, without calling each site in turn.
- Compare projects fairly. Cost and profit per project, from the same kind of entries, so the numbers are comparable.
- Track material between locations. Transfers between sites and the central store are recorded, so stock doesn't vanish in transit.
- Control access. Site staff and directors see different things.
What breaks when you add the third site
Most contractors manage the first two sites on personal attention. Around the third, the same problems show up:
- The Monday call round. Updates come by phone and WhatsApp, in different formats, from people who are busy.
- Material drifts between sites. Cement or steel "borrowed" by one site from another is rarely written down, so one site's overrun is another's mystery surplus.
- Profit is known only at year-end. Without per-project cost, a profitable site quietly subsidises a loss-making one.
- Everyone sees everything, or nothing. Shared Excel files and WhatsApp groups can't limit access by role.
Indian construction firms aren't short of tools. They use an average of 7.5 digital tools per firm, according to the 2024 Autodesk and Deloitte report. The problem is that WhatsApp, Excel and accounting software don't share data, so nobody has the full portfolio picture.
See it in action
| Site | Progress | Labour today | Billed to date | Cost to date |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Site A · Residential tower | 62% | 78 | ₹3.10 Cr | ₹2.58 Cr |
| Site B · Commercial block | 41% | 54 | ₹1.72 Cr | ₹1.61 Cr |
| Site C · Road package | 28% | 46 | ₹0.94 Cr | ₹0.99 Cr |
| Site D · Warehouse | 85% | 34 | ₹2.21 Cr | ₹1.88 Cr |
Illustrative data. In this example, Site C is costing more than it has billed, which you'd see on Monday rather than at year-end.
How True Site Sync runs multiple sites
One dashboard across every site
Each site logs its day on the mobile app: attendance, progress, measurements, material, equipment and petty cash, offline if needed. The office sees progress, material and labour across all sites from one screen. See how entries travel in real-time site sync.
Material across sites and the central store
Purchase orders, GRNs, issues, transfers and returns are recorded across sites and the store, so stock on paper matches stock on the ground. When one site sends steel to another, it's a transfer on record, not a favour between supervisors. More in material management.
Per-project cost and profit, side by side
Material issued, labour marked and equipment hours become project cost automatically. Measurements become RA bills. Billing minus cost gives estimated profit for each project at any time, so you see which sites earn and which need attention months before year-end.
Access control as the team grows
Not everyone should see every site's money. Multi-site management is included from the Business plan, role-based access control from Pro, and an audit trail with compliance logs on Enterprise. See pricing.
Questions a portfolio view should answer every Monday
If your current setup can't answer these in under five minutes, it isn't a portfolio view:
- Which sites are behind on progress this week?
- How many workers were on each site yesterday, and what did they cost?
- Which site has received material it hasn't used, and which is short?
- What has each project billed, and what has it cost so far?
- Which project's margin dropped since last month?
- Who moved material between sites, and was it recorded?
Managing multiple sites: spreadsheets vs one platform
| Spreadsheets + WhatsApp + calls | Multi-site construction software | |
|---|---|---|
| Site status | One call per site | One screen for all sites |
| Data format | Different per site and per person | Same entries, comparable across sites |
| Material between sites | Verbal, often unrecorded | Transfers recorded between sites and store |
| Profit per project | Year-end, if at all | Billing minus cost, any day |
| Who sees what | Whoever has the file or is in the group | Role-based access (Pro plan and up) |
| Remote sites with no network | Updates wait for the evening | Captured offline, synced later |
Built for firms growing across Indian cities
A multi-site firm is often a multi-city firm. True Site Sync runs every site from the same platform wherever it is, with local pages for teams in Mumbai, Pune, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Delhi NCR and Ahmedabad.
For infrastructure portfolios, the stakes are visible nationally. MoSPI's July 2026 data put the cumulative cost overrun across 1,775 central infrastructure projects (₹150 crore and above) at about ₹3.41 lakh crore. Execution delays and weak monitoring are recurring causes. Portfolio-level monitoring is how a firm catches its own version of that early.
Frequently asked questions
Can I manage multiple construction sites from one app?
Yes. Each site logs its work on the mobile app, and the office sees progress, labour and material across all sites from one screen. Cost and profit are tracked per project, so sites can be compared directly.
How do I track material moving between sites?
Record it as a transfer. In True Site Sync, purchases, GRNs, issues, transfers and returns are recorded across sites and the central store, so every movement is on record and stock by location stays accurate.
Can I see profit for each project separately?
Yes. Material, labour and equipment become project cost automatically, and measurements become RA bills. Billing minus cost gives estimated profit per project at any time, not just at year-end.
Can I restrict what each person sees?
Yes. Role-based access control is included from the Pro plan, so site staff and directors see different things. Enterprise adds an audit trail and compliance logs.
Which plan do I need for multiple sites?
Multi-site management is included from the Business plan. Role-based access starts at Pro, and audit logs and API access come with Enterprise. A demo will help you match a plan to your team.
Does it work if some sites have no network?
Yes. True Site Sync is offline-first: entries save on the phone with no signal and sync to the office when the connection returns, so remote sites still appear on the dashboard.
