- Per user, per year or month. You pay for every login. Simple, but costs climb fast when supervisors and storekeepers need access, and field users are the ones who need the app most.
- Per company plan with a user cap. One annual price covers up to N users. Predictable, and adding a site engineer costs nothing until you cross the cap.
- Per project or site. You pay for each active project. Fine with few large projects, expensive as site count grows.
- Volume-based or enterprise quote. Priced on your annual construction volume or negotiated with implementation. Common for global tools and ERPs.

Is free construction software enough?
It depends on what "free" covers. A free trial is the best way to test a tool on your own site. A free attendance app is fine if attendance is all you need. Excel is free too, but it's where re-typing, version mix-ups and late month-end reports come from (see Excel alternatives). Avoid cracked or "lifetime free" downloads: your billing and project data are worth more than the licence fee.
